What kind of zebra is marty

Marty accompanies Alex to unblock a dam set by stranded New Yorkers in the jungle which caused the watering hole to dry up. When Alex is caught, Marty gets the other animals to help rescue him and Zuba. Marty is last seen fulfilling his dream as the leader of the zebras. Marty meets a female Okapi who he gains a crush on, but she's not that interested At first, Marty enjoys it, but after a while, Marty finds that being irresistible isn't what he had hoped and washes off the potion.

When Marty and his friends decide that the penguins have taken long enough to return to pick them up, Marty and his friends go to Monte Carlo in order to try and find them. Unfortunately, they find themselves spotted by the humans in the casino as well as finding the penguins. As a result, Marty and pals find themselves being chased after by animal control.

Marty and Alex argued over who should be leader. In order to hide, Marty, Melman , Gloria , and Alex decide to hide with Circus Zaragoza in order to stay away from the animal control. While hiding they find that this particular circus, Vitaly asks who the leader is and Marty identifies Alex as such since he said he was. The group soon learn they could earn a contract for an American tour with a stop in New York City, when the group finds that this circus is not going to earn that contract without a serious makeover, Marty and pals take it upon themselves to refresh the circus with some new acts.

Marty ends up finding his calling in doing a routine with Stefano in which they are shot out of cannons. When the group ends up getting the contract and reaching Manhattan, Marty and his friends end up realizing that the zoo is not what they remembered after all and decide to instead run off with the circus and continue performing in their acts Marty, Melman and Gloria were happy seeing Alex and Gia together as a couple.

Marty sees that he and his friends are finally where they belong, which is truly crack-a-lacking. Marty only appears for a few moments, dancing with the other Zoosters.

At one point in the first movie, Alex says he's black with white stripes, which is true for all zebras, as he has 30 black, and only 29 white, but this was partly due to the fact that Alex had to give an explanation as to why he was licking Marty, as he thought he was the steak in his dream. Also often Marty mentions that he is black with white stripes, although, in the herd of zebras, very few zebras have their exact stripes pattern. In reality, no zebras share the same exact pattern of stripes.

The colors of Marty can change as the animation progresses, in the first film his skin was dark and in the third film his skin was clearer.

Marty enjoys dressing up, in Madagascar 3, Esmeralda, Esperanza, and Ernestina offered to paint him. Finally, it is painted white and blue with several spots of different colors and a colorful wig. He is also seen using his fluorescent paint in his stripes like the rest of the circus fluorescent green paint, in the dark his stripes highlight bright green and his body looks black. In the beginning, Marty lived a life of comfort in the Central Park Zoo, but comfort led to boredom and Marty soon saw that his tenth birthday came and went and with that, his life was halfway in.

Marty decided, then, that he must travel to the wild, for at least a short time, never having seen the wild. Marty is enthusiastic and always willing for a great adventure with his pals. However, he also has a complexity about his individuality, since he felt like he was no different from the other zebras who literally are exactly like him.

However, as Alex points out, Marty is a dreamer and a free spirit, which truly makes him stand out from other zebras.

Marty is very brave and does not fear anything. Marty is the first character seen in the Madagascar films. He is seen running,and jumping in the wild until intrrpeted by Alex who wants to wish him a happy 10th birthday,and to give him his gift:an Alex snowglobe. At the end of the film, Marty pretends to be another zebra to annoy Alex, but Alex says that seeing him in the eye, he would always know it would be him, although in reality he, recognized him by the bite on his butt. Alex and Zuba both have a birthmark shaped like the continent of Africa complete with Madagascar off to the side on their right paw.

Alex the Lion : No! No CAT scan! It's a transfer! It's a zoo transfer! Melman the Giraffe : Zoo transfer? Oh, no. No, no. I can't be transferred. I have an appointment with Dr. Goldberg at five. There are prescriptions that have to be filled! No other zoo can afford my medical care! Marty the Zebra : Take it easy, Melman. We are gonna be o-kizzay. Alex the Lion : No, we're not gonna be o-kizzay!

Because of you, we're ruined! Marty the Zebra : Did you ever think that there might be more to live than steak, Alex? Alex the Lion : [to his steak] He didn't mean that, baby. No, no, no. Marty the Zebra : [about King Julian] He's got style.

Alex the Lion : What is he, like, king of the guinea pigs? Melman the Giraffe : I think it's a squirrel. Julian : Welcome, giant pansies. Please feel free to bask in my glow. Alex the Lion : Definitely a squirrel. Melman the Giraffe : Yep, a squirrel. Marty the Zebra : Alex, do not interrupt me when I'm daydreaming.

If a zebra's in the zone, leave him alone. Alex the Lion : Surprise! Marty the Zebra : Aaahhh! Do not interrupt me when I'm daydreaming. When a zebra's in the zone, leave him alone. Marty the Zebra : [whispering] It's the man!

Marty the Zebra : Who is it? Alex the Lion : It's the pizza man. Who the heck do you think it is? Marty the Zebra : Come on, Alex. Do you honestly think I intended all of this to happen? You want me to say I'm sorry? Is that what you want? Okay, I'm so Alex the Lion : Shush! Marty the Zebra : He just shushed me. Gloria the Hippo : Look, Alex, you have to be more understanding Gloria the Hippo : Don't you shush me!

Alex the Lion : Do you hear that? Can't you hear that? Marty the Zebra : You guys look hungry. How would you like some of nature's goodness?

Gloria the Hippo : You have food? Marty the Zebra : One Fun Side special, coming up. Seaweed on a stick. Alex the Lion : Seaweed? Marty the Zebra : On a stick. Don't love it 'till you try it. Marty the Zebra : You the cat. Alex the Lion : Who's the cat?

Gloria the Hippo : What kind of zoo is this? Melman the Giraffe : I just saw twenty-six blatant health code violations. Marty the Zebra : I'm loving San Diego. This place is off the chizain. Melman the Giraffe : Twenty-seven. Marty the Zebra : This place is crackalacking. Oh, I could hang here. I could hang here. Gloria the Hippo : Come on, we are New Yorkers, right? Marty the Zebra : Yeah.

Gloria the Hippo : We're tough! We're gritty! Marty the Zebra : Yeah! Gloria the Hippo : We're adaptable! Melman the Giraffe : Yeah! Gloria the Hippo : And we are not gonna lay down like a bunch of Melmans! Melman the Giraffe : No, we're not!

Julian : Wait! I have a plan. Maurice : Really? Julian : I have devised a cunning test to see whether these are savage killers. Marty the Zebra : Hi there! Alex the Lion : No, I will handle this.

Alex handles it. Marty says nothing. Alex the Lion : Hi there! Alex the Lion : Oh, geez! Melman the Giraffe : Oh, Alex. What did you do? Alex the Lion : No, it's okay, it's okay. I'm just a silly, just a silly lion. Alex the Lion : Oh, jeez! Gloria the Hippo : Lets, go. Make a wish babycakes.

Alex the Lion : Come on, what you wish for? Marty the Zebra : Nope!
