Last supper why is it important
In many churches, people take a piece of bread and a little glass of juice to eat and drink. Some churches dip the bread in the juice.
It all just depends on the traditions of your own church. But in every church, it is a very important and sacred way for Christians to remember Jesus and His death on the cross for our sins until He comes again. Read 1 Corinthians I received my instructions from the Master himself and passed them on to you.
The Master, Jesus, on the night of his betrayal, took bread. Do this to remember me. Each time you drink this cup, remember Me. What you must solemnly realize is that every time you eat this bread and every time you drink this cup, you reenact in your words and actions the death of the Master. You will be drawn back to this meal again and again until the Master returns. Leonardo has depicted the consternation that occurred among the Twelve Apostles when Jesus announced that one of them would betray him.
But more specifically, Leonardo da Vinci wanted to capture the instant just after Jesus reveals that one of his friends will betray him, complete with reactions of shock and rage from the apostles. Leonardo used one point perspective, which involves all the lines in the painting converging in one place, known as the vanishing point. This strategy was used to emphasize the importance and central position of Christ.
The lines all converge in his right eye, drawing the viewers gaze to this place. In this painting, da Vinci used one point linear perspective. Linear perspective gives the illusion of 3 dimensional images on a 2 dimensional support. Converging parallel lines move towards a vanishing point s on the horizon line eye level.
Jesus loved us so much that He gave His body and blood for us, so we could be forgiven when we sin. He is going to set up His kingdom and reign for a thousand years.
According to the bible, Christians, partake of Holy Communion in remembrance of the body and blood of Jesus that was broken and poured at the cross. Taking Holy Communion does not only remind us of his suffering but also shows us the amount of love Jesus had for us. Thus, his analysis of the Gospel accounts of the Last Supper was an important part of his entire theology.
The bread is a symbol of the body of Jesus, never to be forgotten as it was given to us. The cup represents the blood of Jesus, never to be forgotten as he poured out His life for us. Jesus Christ has offered everybody the gift of His life, death and resurrection. The Last Supper reminds us of Christ's sacrifice, and that by faith in Him, we can dine with Christ for all eternity.
Yes, I want to follow Jesus. I am a follower of Jesus. I still have questions. What do you think? God , the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him.
Jesus , the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried , and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, " Jesus is Lord ," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.
