How does harry styles asleep

Everything was arranged for an ideal night's sleep. The only problem: listening to Harry Styles whisper sweet nothings into my ear made me want to do anything but nod off. From the get-go, Styles' attempt at a lullaby is mildly erotic. After introducing himself "Hello, I'm Harry Styles" , he promises, "Tonight we're going to think about anything you'd like.

So first let's visualize some scenes to see us through the night. But instead of counting sheep, I may as well have tracked the amount of times my mouth gasped open in mock scandal. I don't want to spoil too much of Harry's pillow talk, as it's best experienced in the privacy of one's own mind. But the singer takes listeners on a tour of several sexy scenarios. There's getting caught in a rainstorm in a "dreamy moonlit town," snuggling on a raft where we "drift for endless hours," and sitting in a cabin "as a fire crackles in the corner, just for me and you.

Turns out Styles' sometimes rhyming, always rhythmic delivery is counterproductive to the REM cycle. That is to say, for all the wrong reasons.

Instead of drowsiness, the experience left me slightly confused. My mind was working overtime as I found myself wondering more about the details of our trip, which I imagined in this world we sufficiently packed for: blankets, snacks, sunscreen, yes? I smiled when we got to the raft snuggling again, but then started wondering…does it have cup holders, this raft? Do we have tasty beverages with us? Does thirst not exist in this dream world? Afterall, pre-Instagram grid days, a celebrity holding hands with someone else was the original way to signal to the world, this relationship is official.

Unsure of the rules in dream world, but positive that I need some rest. I fell right asleep before we could even begin our adventures and I feel conflicted. Harry was right though, my day did have a lot of busy-ness and I thank him for seeing me off to my slumber. I conked out not long after making it to the raft and became embraced by a deep sleep. Mission accomplished. Of course, staying asleep is a whole different story and Harry will have to come in the form of something a little stronger, say 10mg or so, to accomplish that, especially in these times.

But there are a lot of positives here. It also seems to work as a mental balm considering I had no memorable dreams, though perhaps my subconscious was too tired from all the dreaming I was accomplishing before actually achieving sleep. Some of us are on chapter 80 of a masterpiece in our heads.

As an adult, my process for falling asleep is a lot less blissful. It takes hours.
